If you are one of the folks who have benefited from Sponsorship in the reGROUP journey, now is the time to return the favor. We have more people ready to be sponsored than we have Sponsors to work with them! Our healing is not our own. We have been blessed so that we can in turn bless others as a part of God’s larger story. (Gen 12:1-3)
Will you play the part God has written for you? Join us for a reGROUP Sponsorship Training Workshop on Thursday, April 25th, at 7 p.m. in the Annex at Herndon. Register here.
Healing Matters. reGROUP is a type of Summit Connect community focused on helping people heal from their hurts, habits, hang-ups, and hopelessness. As with other Summit Connect groups, reGROUP communities offer people the chance to learn, serve, and worship together in a small group environment of 8-12 people.
You mentioned healing… Is reGROUP only for addicts?
The short answer is no. Brokenness is much broader than addictive behavior such as substance abuse. In fact, any deep attachment to something that separates us from God and others is harmful to ourselves and the world around us. Many of us need the type of healing reGROUP offers… healing from living life on this less-than-it-should-be planet.
Jesus said, “For the son of man came to seek and save that which was lost.” Our attachment to compulsive behaviors, thoughts, or attitudes is one proof that we have experienced loss and that we are lost. These attachments negatively affect the way we relate to God and others. That’s why God wants to break those attachments and bring wholeness and holiness into those places. reGROUP is a community where we learn to recognize what has been lost, and join with Christ as He transforms and restores us.

FAQ
Do you have groups for various issues? Eating disorders or addictions?
At reGROUP, we do not have groups around behavioral categories. We ask all participants to take an important step in their spiritual journey by joining a community that is focused on the inward disposition first, and the outward behaviors or circumstances second.
Are these groups confidential?
Absolutely, YES! Everything that happens on Monday night stays within the groups.
Are groups led by trained leaders?
Absolutely, YES! All reGROUP leaders go through the same process as the participants they lead. They are also continually engaged in “doing the work” themselves. Our leaders understand that spiritual formation is a lifelong pursuit of wholeness and holiness. In addition, each leader is engaged in quarterly training to stay sharp and effective.
How long is the commitment for being in reGROUP?
We ask newcomers for an initial commitment of 90 days in what is called an Orientation Group. After 90 days, the offer is to join a Journey Group, which can last between 9 to 12 months.
Can I come but not join a group right away?
Yes, we encourage folks to come join us for our large group gathering to hear stories of life transformation. As participants are ready, they can move from the large group to a small group environment.
