Celebrating the Good News of Christmas | Week 3 | December 12th, 2021
As we’ve followed the trail of God’s promises through history this Advent, we’ve learned that Jesus brings light into darkness and fills our hearts with joy! But the good news of Christmas doesn’t end there. This week, join detective Xio as she tackles the next part of God’s mysterious message to Isaiah. With help from a history professor and some unexpected weight lifting, Xio learns what it means that Jesus sets us free from the heavy burden of sin. He came into the world to bring freedom and forgiveness, and he offers it to us still today. And one day, in God’s future kingdom, all sin and sadness and hurt will end!

All throughout Advent we’ve been celebrating the good news of Christmas! Though God’s promises were given to the prophet Isaiah long ago, detective Xio has discovered that this mystery is far from a cold case. God’s promises of light in the darkness, increasing joy, and freedom from sin all came true when Jesus was born. They’re still coming true today. And there’s more light, joy, and freedom to come one day in God’s future kingdom. This week, join Xio as she solves the final piece of the puzzle, and discovers what burnt boots have to do with the promise of peace.
