Patience
In our elementary ministry, kids learn that God loves them no matter what, they can put their trust in Jesus, and what they say and do matters.
Patience | April 7, 2024 | Week 1
Waiting can feel so hard, but it is a part of life. Thankfully, God promises to be with us in our waiting and the Holy Spirit helps us to grow in patience so we can wait well. All month long we will be taking a look at what it means to be patient.
Our Bottom Line this week is: waiting can make you wise. We will jump into the book of Proverbs to see King Solomon’s wisdom on waiting. There is value in having to wait; you gain understanding in the process.
We hope your whole family will join in as we worship God and hear an amazing, true story from the Bible.

Waiting can feel so hard, but it is a part of life. Thankfully, God promises to be with us in our waiting and the Holy Spirit helps us to grow in patience so we can wait well. All month long we will be taking a look at what it means to be patient.
Our Bottom Line this week is: when you think you can’t wait, think twice. We will take a look in Genesis, chapter 25, at the story of Jacob and Esau. Esau gave up something incredibly important because of his impatience. From him, we can see why it is important to slow down and ask God for help before we do something unwise.

Our Bottom Line this week is: when you have to wait, remember what’s true. Our story today comes from the book of Exodus. As God’s people, the Israelites, were wandering in the wilderness they forgot all God had done for them when bringing them out of Egypt. They became impatient and worshiped something else, instead of remembering what is true.

This week’s Bottom Line is: God is with you while you wait. We will look in the gospel of Luke and see how Simeon waited years and years to see his Savior, a promise God had given him long before. Even when waiting is hard, we aren’t waiting alone. God is with us.
We hope your whole family will join in as we worship God and hear an amazing, true story from the Bible.
