Who doesn’t love a good happy ending? Not Darling, that’s for sure! But what do we do when life doesn’t feel like a fairytale, and things don’t go the way we’d hoped? Join Darling, as she finds out what the Apostle Paul has to say about suffering. Through her fairytale misadventures, she’ll discover that hard times aren’t a punishment, they’re the result of a broken world. And not only is Jesus with us in the midst of suffering, but he understands exactly how we feel. Because Jesus has won the battle over the world, we can have hope, even in hard times!

In this episode, Darling reads about Paul’s goal, and how he’s pressing on to win the prize. Maybe following Jesus is a bit like a hero’s journey after all! Join Darling as she learns that suffering isn’t the end of the story, and why trusting Jesus changes the way we see hard times. Even in the middle of suffering and sadness, there is joy that is coming!

Tune in to this final episode of Hope in Hard Times! This week, Darling reads what Paul has to say about worry in Philippians chapter 4, which is: don’t. That’s right! Don’t worry…. about anything. When trying to *snap* herself out of her anxieties doesn’t work, Darling takes a closer look at what Paul suggests instead. And what she discovers is CRAZY. It’s peace that literally “transcends understanding.” So there you have it! Life may not be a fairytale, but God is with us in the middle of it. He gives us hope, joy, and peace in hard times. And our story has an awesome ending that’s yet to come.
