May 21st | 1 p.m.
Summit Orlando

Join us as we learn more about the current state of child welfare in our tri-county area. This educational event is a great opportunity to discover how you can serve foster or adoptive children and families. Local professionals and foster and adoptive families will share about the specific and active challenges in the Central Florida area and how we can be praying for, serving, and supporting those who are fostering and adopting in our community.

You'll also have the opportunity to learn about Care Communities and decide if now is the right time for you to jump in! A Care Community is a team of 4–8 committed volunteers who come around a fostering or adoptive family to serve and support them. Care Communities provide regular and ongoing practical help such as meals, prayer, tutoring, child care, laundry, yard work, etc. This orientation is designed to help you learn more about the need for Care Communities, the different roles within each team, and how to get connected with one.

This combined event gives you the opportunity to orient to a care community if you decide this is the next right step for you. Though attending the orientation segment of the event does not commit you to a Care Community, it is a requirement to begin serving in one.
