This summer, our High Schoolers will have a special opportunity to participate in Summit’s ongoing partnership with Children of the Nations. In Barahona, Dominican Republic, they’ll get to experience the work of this great organization firsthand by working alongside local COTN staffers and connecting with younger children and teenagers in the surrounding villages.

COTN is active in some of the poorest villages in the DR where they provide medical attention, tutoring, youth events, leadership development, and biblical training for children involved in COTN’s Village Partnership Programs. Our students will have the distinct privilege of coming alongside COTN staff as they seek to end the cycle of poverty and help children find their way toward becoming the future leaders of their country.

Summit DR Team members will gain a better understanding of long-term poverty alleviation and how to best support and partner with organizations who are investing long-term in the DR. This experience is intended to deepen your student’s relationship with God, transform their faith and wordview, as well as provide perspective on their place in it all.
