Join us for this two-session educational weekend seminar with special guest speaker Brianna Edwards.
Brianna will be presenting on the emotional needs of children and how our children can trigger trauma from our own childhoods.
Get to Know Brianna
Brianna Edwards is an Orlando-based Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Registered Play Therapist (RPT), and TBRI Practitioner (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) specializing in children and teens (ages 3-18), trauma, and attachment and parenting.
Session One will focus on attunement (our ability to be aware of and respond to our child's emotional needs).
Understanding parenting is not a one size fits all situation, Brianna will teach us some reflective listening skills, as well as guide us in learning to see, hear, and value each of our kids individually and meet their unique needs.
Session Two will help parents and caregivers reflect on their own personal histories.
Our children can elicit intense reactions from us and inhibit our ability to connect with our kids. It's often due to past trauma (or relational wounding) that we've either not identified or not worked through. We’ll look back on our own experiences and learn how to move forward in more mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy ways so we can be the best versions of ourselves as we parent our kiddos.
