Backpack Drive
Where: All Summit Locations
We’ll be collecting Backpacks July 23rd - 30th
Summer is almost over, and it's time to get ready for back-to-school! The Backpack Drive is a great opportunity for us to meet a real, timely, and important need in our community by equipping children and teenagers for a great start to the school year. Each backpack we collect will be distributed to students who need them at our local partner schools (Lake Mary: Lyman HS, Orlando: AFCO/RCT, Colonial HS, Foster Families, Riverside: Riverside ES).
I'm in! What do I do?
1. We encourage any and all who want to participate to get creative with their friends, families, and Connect groups to share the joy of building backpacks together!
2. Pick out a backpack that you or your kids would be proud to sport on the first day of school.
3. Fill that backpack up with all of the supplies on one of these lists and drop it off at your Summit campus by Sunday, July 30th.
Not local or unable to get to a Summit Location? You can still participate! You can send a Target gift card to ecronlund@summitconnect.org, and we'll put a backpack together for you! Backpacks typically cost between $60-$80.
Please note that we are unable to use checks for backpacks, so if you would like to contribute, please do so via gift cards. Thank you!
Be sure to get every item on whichever list you choose—students need all items for a successful start to the school year!
